The compact rechargeable head torch Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 is characterised by a practical design with two reflectors with a light output of up to 800 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 125 metres. The reflectors produce well-focused light beams that shine both into the distance and at close range simultaneously. The main reflector emits cool white light at approximately 6500K (so-called daylight white) and the secondary reflector emits warm white light at approximately 3000K (the reflectors cannot be switched on at the same time). Warm light penetrates fog, rain and snow better, so you will find it particularly useful in poor weather conditions. The main reflector offers four lighting modes and a maximum light output of up to 800 lumens, the second reflector offers a maximum output of 500 lumens and also has four lighting modes available. The head torch also features red light, red SOS flashing and a whistle for emergency situations integrated into the strap. Power is provided by a replaceable Li-ion rechargeable battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which charges via a USB-C connector directly in the head torch. The battery can be removed and in an emergency replaced with three AAA batteries (these cannot be charged in the head torch).
Like other Fenix trail head torches, the HL18R-T V2.0 is fitted with a strap featuring a Sport Fit System with a wheel for easy length adjustment. You can quickly and comfortably tighten the head torch on your head with one hand. The strap is also perforated and fitted with reflective elements that ensure good passive visibility. Thanks to its lighter weight and construction, the head torch is particularly suitable for trail running, cycling and skiing. It will also serve for other sports activities (hiking, climbing, camping, fishing, etc.). It will definitely shine brightly in every situation for you.
All parameters of the head torch (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use
Switching on/off and changing modes - the right remote reflector with daylight white light is switched on by holding the right button (approximately 0.5s), the left reflector with warm white light is switched on by holding the left button (0.5s). The reflectors cannot be switched on at the same time, but you can easily switch between them by pressing the opposite reflector's button. When the head torch is off, it switches on to red light by double-tapping either button quickly. Light modes are changed by briefly pressing the button of the lit reflector. The light switches off again by holding the respective button for 0.5 s.
Locking and unlocking - Locking: Slide the lock switch down in line with the mark, the head torch will flash 4 times in low mode warm white light to indicate locking. If the head torch was on, it will automatically switch off when locked. Unlocking: Slide the lock switch up according to the mark, the lamp will flash 4 times in low mode warm white light to indicate unlocking.
Memory for last set power mode - the head torch has memory and will switch on in the last used power mode of the respective reflector.
Battery replacement - open the rear battery cover and insert the battery/batteries in line with the polarity marks. Replace the rear cover.
Charging - flip open the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the head torch's charging port. After charging is complete, replace the dust cover. Normal charging time is 3 hours with a 5 V/1 A USB source when the head torch is completely discharged. During charging, the head torch can only be used in low mode of any reflector. During the charging process, four indicators gradually light up and flash. Four continuously lit indicators mean charging is complete.
Battery charge status indication - After briefly pressing either button (the head torch must be off), the LED battery status indicator between the buttons activates. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing indicates the battery is charged to less than 20%. Indication only works with the original rechargeable battery.
Intelligent overheat protection - when using the head torch at high power modes for extended periods, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the head torch reaches a temperature of 55 °C or higher, it automatically reduces the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55 °C, the output gradually increases again.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the head torch automatically switches to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. After reaching the lowest output, the battery status indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in time. Only works with the original rechargeable battery.
Head strap - The strap is assembled at the factory. To tighten the strap, turn the wheel anticlockwise. To loosen the strap, turn the wheel clockwise. By continuing to turn the wheel after maximum loosening, the strap will begin to tighten again and the direction of loosening and tightening will reverse.
Warning
- Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using the original high-quality Fenix ARB-LP1900 rechargeable battery.
- Remove the battery from the head torch if you will not be using it for a long time, or if the battery is discharged. With disposable batteries, there is a risk of leakage and subsequent damage to the head torch.
- Lock the head torch or remove the battery for storage or transport to prevent accidental activation.
- Never use different discharged AAA batteries or batteries with different capacities.
- Always carefully check that you are inserting the batteries into the head torch with the correct polarity.
- If the head torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- Battery is almost discharged – charge it.
