Tactical rechargeable torch Fenix TK20R UE offers light output of up to 2800 lumens (ANSI). It is fitted with a top-tier LED Luminus SFT-70, which in combination with a smooth reflector creates a well-focused light cone with exceptional beam distance of 465 metres. The package includes a Li-ion rechargeable battery 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which charges via a USB-C connector directly in the torch. The charging port is covered with a screw-on nut, so it is perfectly protected against water and dirt. At the end of the torch is a tactical switch and a rotary FlexiSensa control selector, which allows you to lock the torch or select one of two modes of use. In tactical mode, the torch can be switched to 2800 lumens mode, or to a strobe with variable frequency. In service mode, you can choose between four lighting modes with runtime of up to 40 hours. This tactical torch, thanks to its solid construction, is tough as a tank whilst maintaining a compact size. The robust design allows the torch to be used on long weapons, making it suitable for professionals, armed forces and hunting.

All parameters of the police torch (light output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use of the Fenix TK20R UE torch

From the factory, there may be an insulating cover on the rechargeable battery inside the torch. Remove it from the rechargeable battery before first use.

To switch on, press the tactical button at the end of the torch; to activate immediately, hold the button down. Using the rotary FlexiSensa control selector at the end of the torch, you can choose between tactical and service lighting modes and lock the torch.

Service mode – the torch switches on in the last selected lighting mode; four power modes can be cycled through by pressing the button.

Tactical mode – the torch switches on in the last selected lighting mode; strobe and maximum power of 2800 lumens are available. Press the button to switch between modes.

Lock – the third position on the rotary selector locks the torch and it cannot be switched on – useful, for example, when transporting in luggage. The torch can be locked in both off and on states; locking the torch also switches it off at the same time. Unlocking the torch also switches it on in the last used mode of the respective mode.

Intelligent overheat protection – because the torch achieves enormous power of 2800 lumens, there is a temperature rise. If the temperature exceeds 60°C, the power will automatically reduce. As soon as the temperature drops below 60°C, maximum power can be used again.

Battery charge status indication – the charge indicator is hidden under the protective nut of the charging connector for tactical reasons; to check it, you must unscrew the nut. The torch always indicates the battery charge status three seconds after switching on. Green indicates sufficient charge (100% – 85%), green flashing 85% – 50%, steady red 50% – 25% and flashing red indicates a critically discharged rechargeable battery (25% – 1%). If the rechargeable battery is discharged, the torch will gradually automatically switch to lower power modes; in the lowest mode, it will then flash 3 times every five minutes.

Charging the torch – Unscrew the protective nut under the torch head and connect it using the supplied USB-C cable to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter (not included in the package). You can also use any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector for charging. During charging, the indicator LED opposite the charging connector lights red; after full charge, it lights green. Charging a fully discharged rechargeable battery takes approximately 3.5 hours. The Li-ion rechargeable battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so you can charge the torch at any time. The torch cannot be switched on during charging.

Warning

• Use only quality 21700 Li-ion rechargeable batteries to prevent damage to the torch, for example due to leakage from the battery.
• Insert batteries with the positive pole facing the torch head.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch is flashing, not switching to higher power modes or not switching on, it could be one of the following reasons:
• The rechargeable battery is almost discharged – charge it.
• The contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
• The rear of the torch is loose – tighten it.
