Rechargeable laser torch Fenix TK30R is among the tactical torches with the greatest beam distance in our range. Its white laser light creates an extremely focused beam capable of illuminating up to a distance of 1500 metres and the light output is up to 500 lumens (ANSI). The light source is a white laser with LEP technology (laser excited phosphor), which is known for use primarily in the automotive industry in the most luxurious vehicles. Power is supplied by one Li-ion rechargeable battery type 21700 with a capacity of 6000 mAh (included in the packaging), which charges via a USB-C connector directly in the torch. The charging socket is covered with a screw-on nut, so it is perfectly protected against water and dirt. The torch is thus fully waterproof and dustproof according to the IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 metres). The TK30R has two power levels of white light with a runtime of almost 9 hours and additionally offers strobe flashing. The torch uses a tactical switch with a rotary selector to choose between high and low power and lock. The torch can be switched on directly to strobe mode. The light output is concentrated into a narrow cone, so all light falls on a specific target and the torch is thus ideal for hunting and illuminating distant targets.

All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Fenix TK30R torch operation

From the factory there may be an insulating cover inside the torch on the rechargeable battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.

Switching on when the torch is unlocked: press and hold the tactical switch at the end of the torch for silent momentary light activation; when released, the light will turn off. Fully press the tactical switch for continuous on/off of the light.

Switching on when the torch is locked: rotate the selector from the Lock position to the low or high power position to switch on the light.

Power selection: rotate the selector on the end cap to choose between Lock <-> Low <-> High positions and select the desired power or lock (and simultaneously turn off) the torch.

Strobe activation: on an unlocked torch, fully press the tactical switch for 0.5 seconds to activate strobe. Press the tactical switch briefly again to return to steady light.

Battery charge status indication - the charge indicator is hidden under the protective nut of the charging connector for tactical reasons; to check it you must unscrew the nut. The torch always indicates battery charge status three seconds after switching on. Green indicates sufficient charge (100% - 85%), green flashing (85% - 50%), steady red light (50% - 25%) and flashing red critically discharged battery (25% - 1%). If the battery is discharged, the torch will begin to automatically switch to lower power modes gradually.

Charging the torch - Unscrew the protective nut under the torch head and connect it using the supplied USB-C cable to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter (not included in the packaging). Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LED opposite the charging connector lights red; when fully charged it lights green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3.5 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the torch can be recharged at any time. The torch cannot be switched on during charging.

Intelligent overheat protection - if the torch temperature rises above 60 °C, it will automatically reduce power in gradual steps.

Warning

• Use only quality rechargeable Li-ion batteries type 21700 with protective electronics.
• Insert the battery with the positive pole facing the torch head.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not switch on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost discharged - charge it or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
  • The head, body or rear of the torch are loose, tighten them.
