All torch parameters (light output, runtime on batteries, waterproofness, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use of the Fenix TK35R torch

From the factory, there may be insulating caps on the rechargeable battery. Before first use, remove them.

With the rotary control FlexiSensa Control at the end of the torch, you can select the desired lighting mode: white light – locked – UV light.

Turning on/off – When the torch is unlocked, press the main tactical button at the end of the torch to turn on, and press the button halfway for instant activation.

Switching power modes and strobe – By pressing the secondary function button, you can switch between power modes of the selected light type at any time during operation. The maximum mode of 5800 lumens can be activated at any time on an unlocked torch by holding the main tactical button for 0.5 seconds. To switch to strobe when the torch is on, hold the switch button for 0.5 seconds. To turn the torch on directly in strobe mode, press and hold the switch button.

Note: Since UV light is generally invisible to the human eye, users may overlook its activation in bright environments. To prevent unnecessary risks or damage caused by accidentally leaving UV light on, when UV light is on, the indicator in the function switch flashes alternately red and green.

Lock/off mode – When the torch is on in any mode, rotate the rotary switch to the lock/off mode to turn off and lock the torch. Pressing the buttons will then not turn the torch on.

Memory of last set mode – The torch has memory and will always turn on in the last set mode, except for strobe.

Battery replacement – Unscrew the torch body and insert the batteries with the positive pole facing the torch head. Then fully tighten the body again.

Charging – Slide the charging port cover at the end of the torch, then connect the USB-C charging cable to the torch. The indicator in the switch button lights red during charging and turns green when fully charged. If charging fails or batteries are inserted backwards, the battery status indicator will flash red or remain off to alert the user to check the batteries. Using a powerful 9 V/3 A USB source, completely discharged batteries will charge in 2 hours; using a 5 V/2.4 A USB source, they will charge in 4 hours.

Battery charge status indication – Each time the torch is turned on, the indicator LED in the switch button activates for three seconds. If the indicator LED lights green, the batteries are charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50–85% capacity. If it lights red, the batteries have 25–50% capacity remaining. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% battery capacity remains.

Low battery warning – If battery voltage drops below the set level, the torch will reduce brightness to a lower level. After reaching the lowest power, the battery status indicator will begin to flash red slowly to remind users to charge or replace the batteries in time.

Intelligent overheat protection – If the torch temperature exceeds 60 °C, power will automatically reduce. As soon as the temperature drops below 60 °C, power will gradually increase again.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts of the torch yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Keep the torch out of reach of children.
• Do not shine the torch directly into your own or anyone else's eyes.
• When using UV light, protect your eyes with glasses equipped with a UV filter.
• Never use different discharged batteries or batteries with different capacities.
• Lock the torch or loosen the body by a few turns to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • Batteries are almost discharged – replace them.
  • Contacts inside the torch or battery holder are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
  • Torch body is loose – apply lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten.
