The movable internal "piston" is made from durable copolyester and with a bottom stainless steel mesh replaces the classic rod-based mesh attachment system of conventional French presses. It also creates a second insulating wall. The internal movable piston is equipped at the bottom with a seal that prevents beverage flow around the mesh. The screw-on lid with mesh is easily removable for simple cleaning. The base is coated with silicone, which guarantees good stability and serves primarily to prevent slipping. The thermal retention of the Microlite jug is 3.5 hours for a hot beverage and 6.5 hours for a cold beverage. All materials used are BPA-free. Microlite Javapress is not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.
