Musashi Ichi Katana features a hand-forged blade made from carbon steel with a fine hamon and is traditionally tempered. The sharp blade has a fuller to reduce overall weight. The handle is made from wood and is wrapped in genuine ray skin. It is also traditionally wrapped in black cotton. The tang is particularly long and secured with two bamboo pegs.

This katana was made according to original museum exhibits. The sword comes with a certificate of origin, packaged in cloth and a wooden box.
