BDU trousers from manufacturer Helikon-Tex are made from Ripstop fabric which guarantees long service life and high durability. BDU trousers have a long history of use, particularly in the armed forces and law enforcement agencies of the United States, but have also been used in dozens of armies around the world. The characteristic design and colour make BDU trousers a classic choice for any military enthusiast.

What is Ripstop?
Ripstop is a high-strength fabric, manufactured using a special technique. Thicker threads are woven into thin textile at intervals of 5–8 mm. The advantages of ripstop fabrics lie in their very good weight-to-strength ratio and high tear strength.
Ripstop is used for hot air balloons, parachutes, boat sails, tents, rucksacks and sports clothing.
All camouflage clothing of the American armed forces is currently made from so-called ripstop poplin (50% polyamide and 50% cotton).
Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War.
