The shorter length does not mean reduced functionality. We designed the OTS Ultra shorts to keep as many of the features and solutions as possible that you know from the long version — the OTP (Outdoor Tactical Pants).
Optimal thermal comfort on a trek on warm days thanks to AeroTech
AeroTech is a light, breathable fabric designed for intensive movement at higher temperatures. It wicks moisture effectively, supports ventilation and helps keep thermal comfort under effort. Thanks to the low fabric weight the shorts work well on long marches, ascents and multi-hour activities.
Breathability and comfort during long activity
The structure of the fabric supports temperature regulation and wicks moisture effectively. The reduced fabric weight lowers the weight of the shorts and provides thermal comfort during long movement, especially in warmer conditions and at high intensity.
A hydrophobic finish protects the outer layer
The surface treatment increases resistance to dirt and to moisture soaking in. That makes the shorts simpler to care for and keeps their properties longer, even in intensive use.
The Helikon-Tex experts equipped the OTS Ultra shorts with 10 functional pockets.
Front pockets
Reinforced edges let you carry equipment on a clip safely — a multitool or a flashlight, for example.
Thigh pockets
Two close with a YKK® zipper. They take larger EDC accessories.
Back pockets
Two classic wide ones and two narrow ones inside the wide pair. Use them for any small items you need at hand.
Hook-and-loop pockets
They were made with a phone in mind. You can also use them to carry small outdoor equipment.
Functional construction details of the shorts support ergonomics.
Waist adjustment
Instead of a button we used hook-and-loop with up to 6 cm of adjustment, and an elastic band at the back of the waistband improves the fit to your build.
Wide belt loops with eyelets
They are compatible with belts up to 50 mm. The front eyelets let you secure small equipment with a carabiner or a cord.
An ergonomic cut
The shorts are made for movement. They do not block your stride and stay comfortable even during a multi-hour activity.
