Rip-Stop shirt by Helikon-Tex in the CPU (Combat Patrol Uniform®) cut was designed according to Polish armed forces specifications. The zip on the shirt is two-way along the full length. Under heavy body load, ventilation vents with zips are available in the armpits. A set of six customised pockets provides plenty of space. The collar is fixed on the shirt with a fleece lining to keep the neck warm in adverse weather. On the arms in the biceps area is a Velcro panel (hook-and-loop fastener), which allows you to wear patches of various types. The CPU cut is universal for every need.
What is Rip-Stop?
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thicker threads are woven into thin textile at intervals of 5–8mm. The advantages of ripstop fabrics lie in their very good weight-to-strength ratio and high tear strength.
Ripstop is used for hot air balloons, parachutes, boat sails, tents, rucksacks and sports clothing.
All camouflage uniforms of the American armed forces are currently made from so-called ripstop poplin (50% polyamide and 50% cotton).
Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War.
