SFU NEXT (Special Forces Uniform Next) are the next generation of trousers in Rip-Stop construction and are therefore, so to speak, an improved version of the basic SFU trousers. With these trousers, the manufacturer has removed all shortcomings compared to the basic version based on user experience and feedback.
The trousers have 9 pockets, a reinforced seat panel and the option to add discreet neoprene knee protectors also from Helikon-Tex.
The SFU NEXT trousers have a practically relaxed cut, which improves freedom of movement.

Features of SFU NEXT trousers:

• Adjustable waistband of approximately 5cm (Helikon uses waistband adjustment via hook-and-loop fastener - an advantage over the old generation because of always secure fastening, hook-and-loop fastener always holds perfectly.)
• D-rings. (Rings above the side pockets for attaching keys or carabiners, very well designed so your keys never fall out of the pocket and you can always feel them.)
• Two front pockets (Very spacious two front pockets which are reinforced and double-stitched for carrying, for example, a knife)
• Two slim front pockets with a new type of closure.
• Two rear pockets with a new type of closure (the new closure on the trousers prevents items falling out of the rear pockets)
• Two side cargo pockets (These are sufficiently large side pockets; on the NEXT model the fastening is solved with a button and hook-and-loop fastener. With the button you can divide the large pocket into two and at the same time when carrying heavier items the pocket does not sag. The cargo pockets also contain a handy organiser.)
• Knee sections are reinforced with the option to add discreet neoprene protectors.
• Reinforced seat panel. (This section is usually the most stressed; double reinforcement has solved this problem.)
• Rip-Stop construction of the trousers. (This is a construction of trousers with stitching for greater strength and durability.)
• Crotch section of the trousers with drawcords (This section is double-stitched due to heavy wear)
• Fly fastening is solved with buttons

What is Rip-Stop?
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thicker threads are woven into thin textile at intervals of 5–8mm. The advantages of ripstop fabrics lie in a very good ratio of weight to stability and in high tear strength.
Ripstop is used for hot air balloons, parachutes, boat sails, tents, rucksacks and sports clothing.
All camouflage uniforms of the American Army are currently made from so-called ripstop-poplin (50% polyamide and 50% cotton).
Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War.
