Field products in PL Woodland camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective).

The materials used reduce the contrast of the silhouette when seen through devices working in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment — woodland terrain. Helikon-Tex tests every material in the laboratory and in the field with a spectrophotometer and analogue night-vision devices.

One product — many configurations

The Supertarp Small is a lightweight, compact camping tarp. Thanks to 19 reinforced attachment points you can pitch it in many ways: as a classic A-frame tarp, a cover over a hammock, a shelter for a workstation or an improvised emergency shelter.

The 200 × 250 cm size protects one person with gear and works just as well as shared cover for several people.

Protection in changing conditions

The material is a lightweight coated fabric weighing 72 g/m². The Supertarp is an effective barrier against rainfall. At the same time it protects from intense sunlight, creates shade and limits heat build-up under the tarp.

It works well during a rainy night and on a hot day in open terrain alike.

Light and easy to carry

Despite its size, the Supertarp Small weighs only 490 g. Packed, it takes up little space (22 × 6.5 × 16 cm) and fits into the included carry bag. You can pack it into your backpack even after a rainy night and carry it without soaking the rest of your gear.
