The Tramontane Jacket is an ultralight, emergency protective layer against wind and variable weather.
Windpack Nylon protects against wind
A lightweight, breathable fabric that protects against the chilling effect of wind. Thanks to this the jacket keeps the warmth longer during stops and in moments of lower activity.
Self-pack system
Once folded, the jacket packs into its own chest pocket, which serves as a cover. In this form it takes up a minimum of space and fits easily into a backpack, a bag or even a trouser pocket.
The outer layer is protected by a DWR finish
Durable Water Repellency increases resistance to dirt, limits the absorption of the material and slows the penetration of moisture. This makes the product simpler to care for and helps it keep its properties longer.

Ergonomic hood
The adjustable hood with an elastic binding and a lightly stiffened brim protects the head from wind and light precipitation.
Cuff and hem adjustment
Cuffs with sewn-in elastic and a drawcord at the hem let you seal the jacket and provide better thermal regulation.
Central YKK® zipper
It lets you put the jacket on quickly and smoothly regulate the airflow.
Helikon-Tex designed the Tramontane with simplicity in mind.
You do not have to stow your handy tools in the backpack – you clip them onto the MOLLE webbing on the sides of the jacket or onto the paracord loops under the front pockets.
