Tactical cap from manufacturer Helikon-Tex with Rip-Stop treatment. The cap features hook-and-loop fastener areas for attaching an ID patch.
The cap can be adjusted for size using a drawcord on the rear. Mesh in the rear section ensures good ventilation even at higher temperatures.
Hook-and-loop fastener areas are located on the front (9 x 5cm), on the upper section (6 x 5.5cm), on the rear (4.5 x 4cm) and on the strap (8 x 2.5cm).
What is Rip-Stop?
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, manufactured using a special technique. Thicker threads are woven into thin textile at intervals of 5–8mm. The advantages of ripstop fabrics lie in their excellent weight-to-strength ratio and high tear strength.
Ripstop is used for hot air balloons, parachutes, boat sails, tents, rucksacks and sports clothing.
All camouflage uniforms of the American military are currently made from so-called ripstop poplin (50% polyamide and 50% cotton).
Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War.
