This carpenter's axe with a straight, long handle and narrow, straight blade meets the demands of precise craftwork. The finger notch in the head allows you to position your hand exactly where it is most optimal, almost directly above the centre of the blade, which increases accuracy. The axe is hand-forged from Swedish steel in the smithy at Hults Bruk. Traditional forging, whose origins date back to 1697, and 40 to 60-fold forging of the head increases its rigidity and strength. The axe is named after one of the most experienced smiths at the Hults Bruk forge from the first half of the 20th century – Ernst Stalberg. With proper care, this axe will remain your faithful companion for many years. Due to the high grade of the axe, the manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty on the head.

The heads of hand-forged Hultafors axes and hatchets may in fact vary slightly in appearance from those shown in the gallery, which is inherent to this processing technique.
