The long handle delivers power on impact and the axe itself is ideal for splitting or other woodwork. The axe is hand-forged from Swedish steel in the forge at Hults Bruk. Traditional forging, with origins dating back to 1697, and 40 to 60-fold forging of the head increases its hardness and strength. The axe is named after one of the families who worked for many generations in the Hults Bruk forge – the Qvarfot family. When properly maintained, the axe will remain your faithful companion for many years. Due to the high grade of the axe, the manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty on the head. The heads of hand-forged axes and hatchets from Hultafors may in fact vary slightly in appearance from those shown in the gallery, which is inherent to this processing technique.
