Imori is Japanese shorthand for alpine newt. Hand-forged blade without ridge (Bo-Hi) is made from carbon steel 1045 (which is not stainless), blade collar is brass. Forging is black, decorated with gold newts. Grip-wrap is Katate Maki-Style (War-wrap) from blue cotton, under which is lined genuine stingray leather. Two pegs (Mekugi) secure the blade in the handle. The sword comes with a certificate of origin, wrapped in cloth and packed in a high-quality wooden box. All measurements are subject to estimation.
