The Hannya mask originates from Japanese Noh theatre and is probably the most famous mask of all. It represents a woman who transformed into a demon due to anger and jealousy.
- Sharp blade made from hand-forged carbon steel 1095 (not stainless)
- Differential hardening with clay coating, authentic hamon line
- Suitable for cutting tests, 60 HRC on the blade, 40 HRC on the spine
- Blade collar (Habaki) in brass, Tsuba in zinc-aluminium casting
- Handle wrapped in black cotton, backed with genuine ray skin leather
- Blade secured to the handle with two pegs (Mekugi)
- Scabbard with matt lacquer finish
- Supplied with a collector's box and fabric pouch.
