Spear point blade – the "spear", from the English word spear, is an axially symmetrical double-sided or single-sided blade with a tip at the level of the axis. An important characteristic is the spine that runs through the centre of the blade and distinguishes the spear point from blades used in small envelope-opening pocket knives. Thanks to the spear point construction, it is one of the strongest blades designed for stabbing. Comfortable handle – an ergonomic handle made from carbon fibre provides a firm grip on the knife, as well as low weight. Carbon fibre/G10 is known for its high strength, low moisture absorption and excellent durability. G10 material is very popular in the manufacture of weapon handles because of its grip and slip resistance. It is considered the strongest glass fibre laminate in the world. Well designed – the liner lock mechanism is resistant to contamination and prevents accidental closure of the knife. The knife closes extremely smoothly thanks to a ceramic ball bearing. German D2 steel is one of the most popular tool steels with a high carbon and chromium content. Its relatively high wear resistance combined with good hardness and toughness has led to its widespread use in knife manufacture. D2 steel is much harder (HRC 57-61) than other steels in this category, and therefore holds an edge better. Higher hardness is, however, also associated with greater difficulty when sharpening the blade. The steel is often referred to as "semi" stainless, because it does not reach the required chromium content to be considered stainless steel. Nevertheless, it provides good corrosion resistance.
