Snufkin is a philosophical wanderer who travels the world, fishes and plays the harmonica. Everything he needs, he carries in his rucksack, because he believes that having too many things makes life too complicated.
The mysterious Snufkin does not avoid the company of other people, but prefers to travel alone. On his journeys he discovers new places and tries his luck at fishing. Snufkin likes to travel at night, especially by moonlight. He never asks for the names of the new places he visits, but simply enjoys the journey itself.
