The sole meets the highest slip-resistance standards. Protection against slipping depends primarily on the design and rubber compound of the sole. The boot provides optimal slip-resistance protection on slippery, wet and greasy surfaces, as well as good grip in terrain. A sole designed by LOWA with an optimised rubber compound that provides good grip.
100% polyurethane (PU)
Polyurethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has very good damping properties and is therefore usually used in the midsole. Through the use of PU, soles become light and functionally flexible.
INSOLE
90% polyurethane (PU)
Polyurethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has very good damping properties and is therefore usually used in the midsole. Through the use of PU, soles become light and functionally flexible.
9% polyamide
Polyamides are plastics that are synthesised and as a result can be used to manufacture synthetic fibres. In addition to their toughness, polyamides are known for their dimensional stability, resistance to tearing and abrasion, and water-resistant properties. Polyamides are also elastic, very flexible and have a high gloss.
UPPER MATERIAL
65% suede leather
Suede leather comes from the flesh side of the hide. It has a looser fibre structure, a quality that creates a velvety surface and light nap. Suede leather is particularly durable and has open pores. Depending on the desired appearance, suede leather can remain untreated or can be oiled or waxed.
35% fabric
Our natural and synthetic fabrics facilitate optimal heat regulation and moisture management through their specific properties. Due to their structure, they are smooth and make our products exceptionally comfortable.
LINING MATERIAL
100% GORE-TEX Extended Comfort footwear
Boots equipped with the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane are permanently waterproof and are particularly suitable for warm weather.
CONSTRUCTION METHODS
Injected construction
To create optimal cushioning and the best comfort, the soles of LOWA multifunctional boots are injected directly. The complex injection process bonds the slip-resistant upper directly to the sole. This method creates boots that offer optimal cushioning and are particularly light.
FEATURES
- The two-layer midsole is injected directly into the boot. The layers include carefully coordinated degrees of stiffness to create the best possible comfort.
- The boot is equipped with a replaceable insole for optimal individual customisation and in combination with the ErgoPad® work:x and ErgoPad® work:h+ orthopaedic inserts from BAUERFEIND® is certified and approved for use as a work boot in accordance with DIN EN ISO 20347:2012.
- A special frame design known as LOWA MONOWRAP® provides an extra degree of stability.
- The forefoot and upper can be laced at various degrees of tightness.
- The boot is equipped with lacing hooks with a closed design. The laces are guided safely and cannot slip out of the hooks. Closed lacing hooks minimise the risk of the boot catching on objects.
