What is hydrostatic head?

• Hydrostatic head is measured in mm / cm2, which means that if you placed a column of water 1 cm2 in size that would reach a height of 2000mm, the material would still not let water through. If you exceeded the limit and filled the column to a height of, for example, 2500mm, it is possible that the material would already let water through.
