OCASO is a completely new cutlery brand. OCASO founder Ric Valdez is a former manager at a leading knife manufacturer and has been working in the knife industry for 20 years. Ric founded OCASO with the conviction that the knife you choose for everyday carry defines the essence of your personality. It speaks to who you are and what you believe in. The company's aim is to create elegant, versatile and distinctive pocket knives that reflect your personal style. OCASO Strategy™ came from the design studio of Mike Wallace. Mike Wallace grew up with a passion for anything handmade, especially tools such as tomahawks, machetes, knives and anything with a blade. He made his first knife at the age of 14 and his love of knife and tool making has only grown over the years. Strategy™ is a modern, discreet, lightweight folding knife for men. It is designed as a stylish yet highly functional EDC knife. Thanks to the materials used and precise craftsmanship, it can handle medium loads without reservation. It is not a camping knife, but a pocket knife for suit trousers. It will look excellent, for example, as part of a leather briefcase. It is light, ergonomic, easy to hold and easy to handle, so you can use it for work requiring fine motor control. The handle is made from G-10 material. G-10 is a high-pressure laminate made from glass fibres. It is created by layering multiple layers of glass fibre fabric soaked in epoxy resin and then heat-pressing the resulting material until the epoxy hardens. The handle surface has a fine texture, a roughened finish, for better and more secure grip. The texture and pronounced shaping ensure that the knife will not slip from your hand in any situation, even when your hands are wet, sweaty or dirty. The handle of this knife is further enhanced by additional steel inserts. The stainless steel inserts are profiled to reduce weight whilst maintaining their strength properties. It is also highly resistant to corrosion. Thanks to the material used, the knife is very thin (knife body without clip 1 cm) and very light. The knife blade is made from premium Bohler D2 steel. This is a die steel suitable for cold forging with a higher content of additives. The chromium and carbon content is particularly high. The steel has high resistance to wear, holds an edge very well, but its machinability is reduced and the edge is harder to restore. It is relatively resistant to corrosion, but it is not stainless steel. The stainless steel pocket clip is designed so that the knife sits deeper in the pocket and is inconspicuous to those around you. Opening with the flipper is made easier by the pronounced flipper on the back of the knife. Strategy™ is a men's pocket knife that will turn heads with every use.
