Kestrel 48 is a trekking rucksack ideal for outdoor professionals and travellers who enjoy discovering new places with just a rucksack on their back. With its 48-litre capacity, you can pack everything you need for a demanding full-day trek or weekend trip. The main compartment can be accessed not only from the top but also via a side zip, making it easy to organise your gear and equipment and find what you need. The rucksack offers plenty of storage space inside and out – for example, a hood with internal and external pockets, a stretch front pocket, side mesh pockets and hip belt pockets. There are also attachment loops for trekking poles or ice axes and attachment points for securing gear and equipment. The rucksack is made from durable, sustainable materials (nylon) that withstand rough handling and are treated with a water-repellent DWR finish (made without the use of PFAS). An integrated rain cover stored in a zip pocket at the base of the rucksack. The AirScape back panel offers improved torso length adjustment and a new moulded frame that provides stability, breathability and excellent fit for comfortable carrying even on demanding routes. The hood (non-removable) is equipped with a large zip pocket and a mesh zip pocket beneath it with a carabiner for keys. Option to attach gear and materials to the top panel. Internal hydration bladder with Hydraclip clip for easy suspension of a hydration bladder. Stretch front pocket. Two "daisy chain" straps with loops for attaching gear to the front panel. Two side compression straps at the top with the option to secure an axe or trekking poles. Two side compression straps at the bottom. Sleeping bag compartment with zip and movable divider. Removable sleeping mat straps. Two attachment points for ice axes. Stow-on-the-Go system for securing trekking poles. Two side mesh pockets. Hip belt (non-removable) with zip pockets. Access to the main compartment via top and side zip. 3.5 mm LightWire perimeter frame effectively transfers load from the straps to the hip belt. Side zip pocket running the full length of the rucksack. Atilon frame distributes load across the entire back panel to the perimeter frame. Foam ridges covered with mesh allow maximum ventilation whilst ensuring the load conforms to your body. Soft padded mesh provides a soft and breathable contact surface and excellent support under load.
