What is the MOLLE system?
The MOLLE system is a webbing load-bearing attachment system, consisting of horizontally placed straps with a width of 1 inch (2.54 cm) and a vertical spacing of 1 inch. The straps are sewn to the base fabric at a spacing of 1.5 inches (3.81 cm). This system was patented by the US armed forces in 1998 and is today the most widely used webbing attachment system in the world.
