Durable upper for demanding terrain

The upper is made from 1.6 – 1.8 mm full-grain nubuck leather with an anti-wicking treatment, complemented by abrasion-resistant nylon fabric. This combination provides reliable protection against damage while maintaining the flexibility required for comfortable movement.

High-wear areas of the boot are reinforced with protective rubber elements and a moulded structure that helps protect the foot from impacts, sharp rocks, and premature wear.

Waterproof and breathable construction

Protection against water is provided by the Hydroguard® membrane. Combined with a breathable mesh lining, it prevents moisture from entering while allowing excess heat to escape.

The boots provide more than 12 hours of static waterproofing in heavy rain and withstand approximately 20,000 to 28,000 water penetration test cycles. The waterproof tongue construction also helps prevent water, mud, and debris from entering the boot.

Comfort during long-distance movement

The removable, anatomically shaped footbed features 5 mm cushioning in the forefoot and 7 mm cushioning in the heel area. It helps absorb impact and reduce foot fatigue during long ascents, descents, and all-day movement.

The cemented sole construction helps reduce overall weight while preserving the natural flexibility of the boot.

Stable footing on different surfaces

The anti-slip rubber outsole is abrasion-resistant and provides reliable traction on rocks, dirt, wet surfaces, and mixed terrain. Its tread pattern is also designed to provide secure footing on ladder rungs.

The boots comply with the EN ISO 20345:2022 LG SRC standard and are tested for grip on ladder rungs as well as high slip resistance on wet and smooth surfaces.
