The compact and lightweight GLACIER LITERIDE 50 cm ice axe from Petzl is designed for ski mountaineering, off-piste skiing on steep mountain slopes and for ultra-lightweight climbing or mountain running expeditions. The head is forged from high-quality stainless steel, which is fitted with teeth and a 3 mm thick tip that widens towards the shaft. The shape of the head allows for a secure and stable placement. The lower end of the shaft is fitted with a forged stainless steel spike, which facilitates penetration into hard snow.
