Aero 3 DAC
Ultralight spacious tent for three people with two entrances and vestibules.
DAC Featherlite NSL (7001 T6) aluminium poles with a diameter of 9.5 mm.
The flysheet is made from nylon with RipStop treatment and triple-sided silicone coating, which guarantees a hydrostatic head of 4000 mm. The flysheet seams are sealed with silicone.
The bed, which is firmly attached to the floor, can be erected independently, for example as a mosquito net.
The groundsheet is made from nylon with a polyurethane coating with a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm.
Description
The tent is double-walled and consists of an inner tent and an outer shell – the flysheet. The inner tent has a trapezoidal floor plan with two entrances on the longer sides. The outer tent has two entrances with two vestibules, which are suitable for storing luggage or cooking. At both entrances you can choose whether to open the left or right half of the entrance, or both at the same time. You can use this choice, for example when cooking, to easily create the necessary air space. The flysheet is made from nylon fabric with RipStop treatment, which reduces the weight of the tent whilst maintaining the strength of the flysheet.
Ventilation
It is located at the peaks of the shorter walls of the flysheet. The ventilation windows are shaped so that they do not lean due to wind. This prevents air escape even in rain with strong wind.
Tent construction
Hang the inner tent using hooks onto the aluminium structure. Pull the flysheet over the structure and then secure it with hook-and-loop fasteners on the underside of the flysheet to the poles. Fasten the buckles and tension the tent. Anchor the tent using pegs and cords.
