Technology as performance support

The outer layer - Toray 20D Nylon Recycled RipStop DWR - is densely woven, yet very light and breathable nylon fabric with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment. The densely woven fibres stop even very strong wind whilst allowing your body to breathe freely. The inner layer is made of 20D recycled nylon. The fact that the fabrics are made from recycled materials certainly adds value.

The RipStop treatment ensures that if the jacket tears, it will not continue to rip, but one of the regularly placed thicker fibres will stop the tear.

DWR is a surface treatment of the material that increases its resistance to external influences such as moisture or dust.

One of the best natural insulators is down. It is duck down, which we use to fill the Hill jackets with a fill power of 650 cuin. The down is mixed with small feathers in a ratio of 90/10. The reason is that small feathers are resilient and help maintain the loft of the material. The down used meets RDS certification and is properly cleaned, so it has no odour that mothers associate with duck down. In addition, it has a so-called Teflon treatment, which increases its performance in damp conditions and contributes to durability.
