BLADE The blade is made from American S35VN steel, this exceptional American steel is not only very strong and durable, but can achieve outstanding sharpness and the blade then has a long service life. A very fine-grained powder steel with uniform microstructure offers very stable properties. It is resistant even with a very fine blade bevel, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant. It is a good choice for high-quality custom knives and tools. The CPM (powder metallurgy) process guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good sharpening and strength compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Despite lower chromium content, this steel exhibits very good corrosion resistance results. TiNi Finish TiNi Finish is short for titanium nitride. It is an exceptionally hard ceramic material applied to steel by plasma spraying. This method is considered the best surface treatment for steel blades. Black is usually used, but it is not a requirement. It is often stated that a blade treated this way has a longer service life and TiNi protects it from corrosion. This surface treatment actually helps the blade hold its edge and when cutting it is smoother and more slippery. A huge advantage of TiNi surface treatment is that it is by far the most resistant to scratching and chipping. CRYO Heat-treated S35VN steel: Excellent wear and chip resistance.
