SUS304 stainless steel

The cutlery is made of SUS304 stainless steel. This designation comes from the Japanese JIS standard (SUS = Steel Use Stainless) and is commonly used in China and throughout Asia. It is the same steel known in Europe as 1.4301 (X5CrNi18-10), in the USA as AISI 304 and on cutlery often as 18/8 or 18/10 – it contains approximately 18% chromium and 8–10% nickel.

• Food-safe – it is the standard material for kitchen utensils, pots and food processing equipment.
• Good corrosion resistance – it does not rust in normal use or in the dishwasher. Prolonged contact with salt or aggressive cleaning agents may cause small stains.
