With this outstanding lens technology, we have carefully designed a filter for your sunglasses that filters harmful light and enhances your visual performance by improving colours and contrast and increasing clarity. With CAPTIVATE™, your colour perception is not only redefined, but we have also raised the bar for what sunglasses can be for you.
Polarised Filter 8™
The polarised filter creates vertical openings for light, which means that only vertical light waves can reach your eyes, whilst horizontal light is blocked. Horizontal light waves are glare, which occurs when vertical light hits a reflective surface, such as a wet road, a car windscreen and especially water. Horizontal light appears as strong glare, which threatens your vision and makes navigation difficult. The polarised filter eliminates this glare and helps you stay focused and relaxed all day without experiencing headaches or eye strain.
100% UVA/UVB protection
It is not just skin that can be damaged by UV rays, but your vision can also be weakened. If your eyes are exposed to the sun, prolonged and intense radiation can lead to infection of the conjunctiva or cornea of your eyes. This is why it is so important to wear sunglasses and eyewear with UV protection. Our lenses guarantee you 100% UVA/UVB protection, protecting you from harmful rays that can lead to permanent eye damage.
Anti-reflective coating
The anti-reflective coating eliminates distracting light reflections on the back of your lenses, ensuring that light does not reflect back into your eyes and distort your vision. Lenses with an anti-reflective coating reduce blur and reflected images on the back of the lenses and not only provide you with extra comfort and visual clarity, but also ensure optimal conditions for your polarised filter.
Oleophobic coating
The oleophobic coating is an anti-smudge layer. Application of this coating provides you with lenses with a much smoother surface, which helps you prevent dust, oil, dirt and water from sticking to the lenses. Ultimately, it helps prevent smudges and water spots on your lenses, making them much easier to clean and helping you maintain a cleaner surface for longer.
T-Shell™ Scratch-resistant coating
All Wiley X lenses are treated with our T-Shell™ scratch-resistant coating, which protects the lenses from damage and extends their lifespan. With Wiley X, you not only get lenses made from high-quality material, polycarbonate, but also lenses that are coated with this cutting-edge hard coating, which ensures the durability of your lenses.
Unbreakable Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses
All Wiley X eyewear comes with our unbreakable Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses. This material is super durable and strong and we use it to ensure that our rigorous testing can be performed, so you can get lenses that are certified to the strictest optical safety standards.
Triloid™ nylon frame
Triloid™ nylon is the most durable non-metallic material available. Not only does it provide you with lightweight comfort, but it is also extremely strong. Among other things, thanks to this highly durable material, WX eyewear can withstand rigorous safety tests that we certify for all our eyewear. It may have a light and plastic feel, but Triloid™ nylon is much stronger and of higher quality.
