One belt for everything
The Forester belt is designed for comfortable carrying of bushcraft equipment during time in the forest. A special attachment system using loops keeps everything in place – nothing shifts.
It complements the Helikon-Tex range with another carrying system intended for bushcraft enthusiasts. The Forester belt shares a feature with tactical belts: it can be worn over the top of clothing. In bushcraft, it replaces a bag or even a small rucksack. It does not take up your hands and does not restrict movement when moving through the forest. To the Forester belt you can attach forestry accessories using loops, for example: SERE pouch, water bottle pouch, compass/survival pouch and so on. Together they create a comfortable kit for bushcraft enthusiasts.
A belt with a storied history
The genesis of the Forester bushcraft belt reaches back to the 1950s and the armed conflict in Malaya. SAS soldiers then used nylon straps with clip fasteners as a belt with a load-carrying strap, which came from straps securing cargo dropped by parachute.
Over time, most British special forces units (SAS, SBS), Royal Marines and paratroopers began using it. The belt with a rolling fastener was much better than standard solutions. It had simple adjustment and adapted to the wearer's body. More complex was the STABO evacuation harness from the Vietnam War and its predecessor, the McGuire harness. It consisted of a harness with a belt sewn from nylon parachute strap with fasteners similar to the British ones. Equipment items were attached to the belt: ammunition pouches, water bottles, grenades and so on.
