The cap is equipped with three hook-and-loop fastener panels that allow attachment of patches. The cap size can be easily adjusted using a drawcord on the back. The hook-and-loop fastener panels are positioned on the front (11 x 5.4 cm), on the top (3.2 x 3.2 cm) and on the back (6.6 x 3.2 cm).

What is Rip-Stop? Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, manufactured using a special technique where thicker threads are woven into thin textile at intervals of 5–8 mm. This technology provides a very good weight-to-stability ratio and high tear strength. Ripstop is used in the manufacture of hot air balloons, parachutes, boat sails, tents, rucksacks and sports clothing. All camouflage uniforms of the American Army are made from so-called ripstop poplin (50% polyamide and 50% cotton). Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War.
